What we do

Our projects are all related with teaching English and focus on:

  • Long term English lessons at primary schools in the Sanur and Denpasar area,
  • 'Teach the teacher' training,
  • Short term English lessons in remote primary schools, mostly combined with teach the teacher workshops,
  • Donation of (English) teaching materials,
  • Advanced support on certified English training programs (IELTS programs),
  • Provision of a Learning Centre.

Crowner’s Learning Centre

Our Learning Centre is a multipurpose educational facility in Denpasar, Bali providing:

  • Classroom(s), lesson materials, a library, internet access, a database of teaching tools, class materials and reading books.
  • Teach English conversation and games to elementary school and middle school children from lower income families.
  • Work with the local school teachers on their teaching skills, using all available materials and making the lessons active and exciting for both students and teachers.
  • Homework and free English practice sessions.

Our centre is located in Jalan Gunung Indrakila Ujung 1 Monang Maning, Denpasar. But the Centre is also our local office.


Teach the Teacher workshops

Why?

English Lessons

Why?

  • Enhance chances of disadvantaged students by offering them free, active and theme based English lessons from an early age.
  • Allow them access to a rich database of learning materials, books and internet to develop and satisfy their inquisitive nature.

  • Ongoing.

For whom?

  • Disadvantaged students.

IELTS and other advanced educational teaching programs

What?

  • Sponsoring English courses and internationally recognized certifications.
  • Sponsoring courses to obtain certification and skills in highly demanded professional areas, e.g. spa therapists, off-shore areas, cruise ships, etc..

Why?

  • These diplomas are internationally recognized and can give students access to universities and schools abroad, as well as access to jobs and careers in an international environment.
  • To encourage teachers to improve and develop creative and dynamic teaching skills.

Where?

  • At IALF, Denpasar, an Australian funded officially recognized learning centre or other internationally recognized schools and academies.

For whom?

  • Disadvantaged students.

Creation and distribution of teaching materials

What?

  • Donation of teaching materials, such as flashcards, workbooks, learning books, reading books etc…

Why?

  • To enhance and improve the education, teachers can offer in their schools.
  • To offer the students materials to develop their skills in English, their creative thinking, and satisfy their thirst for knowledge.

Where?

  • Local schools in Denpasar.
  • Remote locations.

Short term learning programs

What?

  • 3 day English learning and activities program at the remote village schools.

Why?

  • To reach out and establish contact with the more isolated and disadvantaged students and teachers.
  • To introduce creative and playful learning methods,
  • To donate materials,
  • To have fun!

  • Remote locations on Bali.
